Deuteronomy 11:18-21

KJV—Therefore shall ye lay up these my
words in your heart and in your soul, and
bind them for a sign upon your hand,
that they may be as frontlets between
your eyes. And ye shall teach them your
children, speaking of them when thou
sittest in thine house, and when thou
walkest by the way, when thou liest
down, and when thou risest up.
And thou shalt write them upon the
door posts of thine house, and upon thy
gates: That your days may be multiplied,
and the days of your children, in the land
which the Lord sware unto your fathers
to give them, as the days of heaven upon
the earth.

NIV—Fix these words of mine in your
hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on
your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
Teach them to your children, talking
about them when you sit at home and
when you walk along the road, when you
lie down and when you get up.
Write them on the doorframes of your
houses and on your gates, so that your
days and the days of your children may be
many in the land that the Lord swore to
give your forefathers, as many as the days
that the heavens are above the earth.

NAS—You shall therefore impress these
words of mine on your heart and on your
soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on
your hand, and they shall be as frontals
on your forehead. And you shall teach
them to your sons, talking of them when
you sit in your house and when you walk
along the road and when you lie down and
when you rise up.
And you shall write them on the doorposts
of your house and on your gates, so
that your days and the days of your sons
may be multiplied on the land which the
Lord swore to your fathers to give them, as
long as the heavens remain above the earth.

hand to. The Lord your God will bless you
in the land he is giving you.

Kenneth And Gloria Copeland

I’ll never forget the day Gloria and
I settled forever that our children were
not going to hell, but were going to live
for God. Sitting in the middle of our bed
with Bibles and concordances and lists
of scriptures all around us, we agreed together
in prayer that our children and every
member of our family would be saved
and serve God. We stood on God’s promise
in Matthew 18:19 that “if two of you
shall agree on earth as touching any thing
that they shall ask, it shall be done for
them of my Father which is in heaven.” We
settled forever that we were a family without
tragedy.

Well, that was many years ago, but we
have never once backed off our stand of
faith. And today, not only are our children
saved and serving God, but all three of
them and their families are working with
us in the ministry.

How did we do it? By learning what
rights and promises are given to us in the
Word of God. Every time the devil came
to kill, steal and destroy our children and
our family, we looked for the scriptures we
could use to combat the forces of the evil
one. We stood on the promises of God in
faith, and the power of God’s Word got the
job done!

It will get the job done for you and for
your family too, if you’ll take God’s promises
to heart and act on them. That’s why
we’ve put together this book of Family
Promises. We want to help you get the
truth of God’s Word concerning your family
fixed and established in your heart, and
help you keep the Word of God before you
at all times.

Read Family Promises over and over.
Meditate on God’s promises for your family.
Confess them aloud daily. Stand on them
in faith and act on them. Get your family
together around the Communion table and
settle forever that no member of your family
will perish. Then when the devil comes
around to try to destroy your marriage or
steal your children, you can resist him with
the Word—“As for me and my house, we
will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15).
